Registering for a Program

If you would like to register for any programs, please contact the Town Office. Waiver forms must be filled in upon registration of program.(Registration is confirmed upon receipt of payment and waiver form prior to participation in program)

Pickleball is an amazingly fun and easy to learn game. Even if you've never played a racket sport before, you will be playing and having a blast before you know it! Equipment is provided if you don't have your own.
WHERE: Legal School Gym (5122 46 St)
WHEN: Mondays, September 11 to December 11 (no class October 9)
Thursdays, September 7 to December 7
TIME: 7:00pm to 8:30pm
FEE: $5.00 (GST included) and Signed Waiver form required

Fall Clean-Up

Put your unwanted items that you no longer need out in your front yard for someone else that might be able to make use of!
Any leftover items will be taken to the landfill starting on Monday, September 18, 2017.
Call the Town Office if you are planning on participating in the program - 780-961-3773

The following items will not be picked up by the Town and is the responsibility of the homeowner:

Agriculture Chemical Containers Liquids Paint Toxic Waste
Sewage/Septic Tanks Hazardous Waste Chemical or Chemical Waste Radioactive Waste
Oil & Filters Tires, Rims & Vehicle Hulks Animal Waste Antifreeze
Asbestos Tar Drums Batteries

These items can be dropped off at one of the City of Edmonton Eco-Stations located at 11440 143 St, 5150 99 St or 14710 Ellerslie Road.



The Town of Legal now has a policy to reimburse library fees for Town of Legal residents.
A maximum of $50.00 will be reimbursed for the cost of library fees (less the membership cost) per year, per household.
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and must reside in Legal for a minimum of 90 days.
Documentation will be requried when applying for the reimbursement.

Families First Parent Link Centre

Parent Link Centre - Legal School (PLC Room)

We wish to invite all parents/caregivers and children (aged 0—6 yrs) to our fall season of FREE programs!
These free programs are held in the Legal School Parent Link Centre. We offer Parent Education programs with free child care. For more information or to register, contact Families First Society @ 587-487-6176 then 780-998-5595 ext. 221.

Coffee Talk coffeetalk
Join us for a morning of FUN! Children and their parents/caregivers will enjoy play and crafts together.

Creative with Kids
This is a facilitated program that provides parents/caregivers with opportunities to learn creative ways to interact with their children using interactive, age appropriate crafts.

TIME: 10:00 a.m.—12:00 p.m.

Music with Munchkins Baby
Bond and learn with you children through music.
WHERE: Legal School
WHEN: Second and fourth Thursday, from September to May
TIME: 10:00 a.m.—12:00 p.m.

Legal Community Kitchens community
This is a cooking program for parents who gather for a day of meal preparation and cooking, and take home 4 nutritious meals for their families. Free childcare is provided. Program is held at Legal School. Please call Carol for more information or to register at 780-961-7634.

Sturgeon Family Literacy

Programs for families with children 0-6 years of age in the communities of Bon Accord, Gibbons, Legal, Morinville, Redwater and the Sturgeon County Area. Rhythm & Rhyme

A program designed to promote positive enjoyable interaction between parent and child 1 hour per week for 8 weeks through songs, rhymes, stories, talking and playing. The program introduces parents to various ways they can support their child’s early literacy and language experiences, and in doing so it helps promote healthy family relationships. The program facilitator also shares information about different resources within the community and area that support children’s literacy development.

Books for Babies

A facilitated 1 hour program, once a week for 6 weeks to promote the enjoyment and importance of sharing books with newborn babies up to 1 year of age.

English as a Second Language

Do you need to improve your English? English as a Second Language is offering a High Beginner and Intermediate Level program.
