If you would like to register for any programs, please contact the Town Office. Waiver forms must be filled in upon registration of program.(Registration is confirmed upon receipt of payment and waiver form prior to participation in program)

LIBRARY FEE REIMBURSEMENT POLICY

The Town of Legal now has a policy to reimburse library fees for Town of Legal residents.
A maximum of $50.00 will be reimbursed for the cost of library fees (less the membership cost) per year, per household.
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and must reside in Legal for a minimum of 90 days.
Documentation will be requried when applying for the reimbursement.

Families First Parent Link Centre

Parent Link Centre - Legal School (PLC Room)

We wish to invite all parents/caregivers and children (aged 0—6 yrs) to our fall season of FREE programs!
These free programs are held in the Legal School Parent Link Centre. We offer Parent Education programs with free child care. For more information or to register, contact Families First Society @ 780-998-5595 ext. 221.

Handle With Care
Join us for a simple, interactive program that helps parents and caregivers support the mental health of young children from 0-6 years.


Creative with Kids
This is a facilitated program that provides parents/caregivers with opportunities to learn creative ways to interact with their children using interactive, age appropriate crafts.
Music with Munchkins Baby
Bond and learn with you children through music.



Sturgeon Family Literacy

Programs for families with children 0-6 years of age in the communities of Bon Accord, Gibbons, Legal, Morinville, Redwater and the Sturgeon County Area. Parent-Child Mother Goose Program

The Parent-Child Mother Goose Program is a FREE 10 week group experience for parents/caregivers and their babies or young children (birth-three). It focuses on the pleasure and power of using songs, rhymes and oral stories.

Rhythm & Rhyme

A program designed to promote positive enjoyable interaction between parent and child 1 hour per week for 8 weeks through songs, rhymes, stories, talking and playing. The program introduces parents to various ways they can support their child’s early literacy and language experiences, and in doing so it helps promote healthy family relationships. The program facilitator also shares information about different resources within the community and area that support children’s literacy development.

Books for Babies

A facilitated 1 hour program, once a week for 6 weeks to promote the enjoyment and importance of sharing books with newborn babies up to 1 year of age.

Sturgeon Community Kitchens

What is Community Kitchens? A group of people who come together to cook 4 healthy meals for their families.

Day 1: Participants will plan the meals and make a grocery list according to the budget.
Day 2: Participants will prepare and cook meals together.
This program is open to residents of Bon Accord, Gibbons, Edmonton Garrison, Legal, Morinville, Redwater and Sturgeon County.
