Maintenance Labourer - Public Works (16 Weeks)

Under the direction of the Public Works Supervisor, the employee will be responsible for duties related to water sewer systems, road maintenance and building facilities.

Responsibilities: operation of light vehicles, small commercial tractors, tools and other specialized maintenance tools and equipment, minor road repair, crack sealing, crosswalk painting, pothole & sidewalk repairs, inspection and inventory, hydrant inspections & painting, exercising of water valves, minor repairs to buildings, inputting data on the asset management system and other related duties as assigned.

Duration: 16 Weeks (35 hours weekly) May 5 to August 22, 2025

Applicants must have a strong work ethic and motivation, a current valid driver’s license. Priority will be given to those with experience relating to the position, and willing to obtain relevant training.

Maintenance Worker - Parks (16 Weeks)

Responsible for daily maintenance of ball diamonds, the operation and maintenance of the RV & Day Use Park, Centennial & Citadel Park facilities and trail system.

Responsibilities: operation of light vehicles, commercial mowers, tractors, small cutting/hedge trimming machinery, power tools and other specialized seasonal maintenance equipment, grass cutting, daily grooming of shale ball diamonds, fence repairs, inspection of playground equipment, painting, signage, carpentry, assist with construction & landscaping projects. Maintenance of light equipment & mowers, horticulturist/arborist duties and other related duties as assigned.

Duration: 16 Weeks (35 hours weekly) May 5 to August 22, 2025
