With a small staff of public works professionals, the Town strives to maintain the roads in cost effective and efficient manner. Residents are asked not to park vehicles on the street when the department is street sweeping in order to improve service delivery for the residents of Legal.

Watch for Public Works Crew and signs when crack sealing in effect.

Street Sweeping

Watch for and obey street signs for street sweeping. We ask that all vehicles be removed from the roadways to allow for the street sweeper to thoroughly clean the roads. 

When street sweeping is in effect, please remove vehicles from these streets between the hours of 8:00 - 5:00 pm. Thank you for your cooperation.

With a small staff of public works professionals, the Town strives to maintain the roads in cost effective and efficient manner. Residents are asked not to park vehicles on the street during snow removal in order to improve service delivery for the residents of Legal. 

In accordance with Bylaw #13-2022, when removing snow from your private property, residents are not to push the snow on to the roadway or neighbouring properties. Private snow removal should remain on private property. 

There are priority snow clearing areas within the Town that supports access for emergency vehicles and education. It is important to note that all areas of Town will be cleared within an appropriate time frame. Please be patient.

Before contacting the Town, ensure you have the following information ready:

• Exact location of the issue/problem being reported
• Description of the issue/problem being reported
• When you noticed that the issue/problem occurred
• Photos of the issue/problem if applicable

We appreciate all complaints and will address them on a priority basis.
